Nevermind the naysayers. People like to treat what artists do as irrelevant, and some people don't want to pay for it either. They are anti-cultural thugs.
Of course you know the NIKE logo. Well the owner of Nike paid an artist $35 to develop a logo. That logo is known all over the planet. So last year the owner found the artist and gave her oodles of Nike stock. Sometimes good things happen and a client will understand your value years later.
Stay the course. Keep making films and other art. Go for 50% down on custom work. I definitely would not do a shorter film for a company that never paid for the original larger piece.
P.S. No one gets to interpret love. That's private all the way. Who you choose and why...it's all up to you. Others can accept it or not.
